Who are we?

We are a seven year-old equity research firm, based near Boston, that provides an independent voice on internet, software, renewable energy, and education stocks to investors. We place a dual emphasis on industry and securities analysis in an effort to cut through company hype and pro-forma reporting. Our sole mission is to help our clients identify stocks to buy and stocks to avoid.

As an integral part of our research process, we draw upon insights from a network of industry partners, comprised of people who evaluate the products provided by the companies we research. As a matter of principle, we refrain from investment banking, money management and personal investment in stocks in our research coverage. We were one of the original eleven members of the Investorside Research Association, a trade group formed in July of 2002, which certifies its members have no investment banking conflicts.

Who are our clients?

We serve a variety of professional fund managers and analysts, including growth, value and sector-specific mutual funds, as well as hedge funds, pension funds and asset managers. We also provide research to individual investors through our participation in the Global Research Settlement, which mandates that ten large investment banks provide at least one outside research opinion for each stock within their coverage.

How do we service our clients?

Our research service is the Battle Road Advisory, which features our regularly-published reports on software, internet, renewable energy, and education. The format and content of our research reports is based on input from an elite group of fund managers and analysts whose insights have shaped our focus. We also perform custom services for our clients, including conference calls drawing from our network of industry partners, company management meetings, and custom queries and reports.
